Youtube Asking Users if they Want to Use there Full Name

Youtube Is Asking Users if They Want to Use there Full Name

On Youtube you May Have Been Asked If you Want to use your Full Name on your
Profile Some People Have Questions About it and im Going to Help you Out With this

Are you Required to Use your Real Name on your Youtube Account

No It is Completely Optional you Do Not Have to Use your Real Name on your Youtube
Profile

Use the same name on YouTube and Google
Until recently, you may have used one name on YouTube and a different name on other Google services like Gmail or Blogger—even though they were all on the same Google Account. Now you can use the same name for all services on your account, including YouTube, if you switch to a Google+ profile identity.

What are my choices for this name?

If you have a Google+ profile on the same account as your channel:

Your Google+ profile name
A new name (that meets these requirements)
If you don't yet have a Google+ profile:

The name on your Google Account
Your current YouTube username
A new name (that meets these requirements)
Where will this name appear?

On YouTube, this name will appear on your channel and on shared content like videos you’ve uploaded, comments, and playlists. Check your channel to see what you're sharing.

On the rest of Google, this name will appear on your shared content from Google services you use, such as Gmail messages, Google Play reviews, Google Drive documents, Calendar events, Chat messages, sharing invitations, and more. Some services, like Google Groups and Gmail, still allow you to use a different name (Gmail, for example, lets you specify a different “From” name). Check which Google services you use.

This name will also appear on the Google+ profile that is linked with your YouTube channel. You can share as much or as little information as you'd like on the profile. Visit your profile to edit profile information or adjust sharing settings.

I want to keep using different names on YouTube and Google

If you're prompted to use the same name on YouTube on Google, you can opt out and click the option to use two different names. Nothing will change for now. Soon, we'll help you set up two different identities, so you can easily choose between them on the services that you want.

YouTube and your Google identity
YouTube is a Google service. When you sign into YouTube, you're really signing into a Google Account.

Now we're bringing Google-wide identities to YouTube. In the past, YouTube usernames were specific only to YouTube. As we continue to build new features for YouTube, having a public identity that's consistent across Google will allow us to improve sharing, content distribution, content discovery, channel management, and more.

When you update your YouTube channel to a Google identity, a few things change on YouTube:

Your Google identity becomes your YouTube identity. It will appear on your channel and on shared content like videos you’ve uploaded, comments, and playlists.
Your Google identity photo becomes your YouTube avatar.
If you want to change your appearance on YouTube, you need to edit your Google identity.
Note that if you have a channel URL based on your username (i.e. www.youtube.com/user/username), this URL will not change.
I don't want to use my full name on YouTube! You don't have to use a full name on YouTube. Google identities don't always have a full name, and we're working on new options for people for whom a full name is not the right choice.
