Janga

How to play the game of Jenga

The Guide

Set up the tower by placing three blocks facing down. Make three blocks face the left. Keep on doing this until there are no more blocks.

Try to take a block out by tapping the short side of it, or by pulling it out.

Once you pull it out, place the block on the top of the tower - either facing left of the blocks, or facing down, or vice versa.

Repeat step #2 until someone makes the Jenga Tower fall.

Tips

Try to get the blocks in the middle so there is a lower chance of the tower falling.

An easy way to cheat is to make the person who is pulling ablock laugh so that they will laugh and cause the tower to collapse. Shouting "JENGA!!!" will usually cause someone to laugh and make the tower fall.

Most of the time, the blocks in either the middle or the outsides are loose, take those first! If you try to take a block that is not loose, the chances are you will make it fall.

WARNING The tower might fall on you or break the table if it's made out of glass.

Things you Will Need

A set of Jenga blocks

Skill

People to play with (unless you play solo)

Becareful How Much you Talk On your Phone

These Days Cell Phones Are a Very Common thing we Can Use The Internet on our phone and we Can Also Talk on the Phone As Well But Talking to Much On the Phone Can Be A Bad Thing

There Has Been Studys That Are Being Shown As Talking to Much on the Phone Causing Cancer

Radiation from cell phones can possibly cause cancer, according to the World Health Organization. The agency now lists mobile phone use in the same "carcinogenic hazard" category as lead, engine exhaust and chloroform.

A team of 31 scientists from 14 countries, including the United States, made the decision after reviewing peer-reviewed studies on cell phone safety. The team found enough evidence to categorize personal exposure as "possibly carcinogenic to humans."

What that means is they found some evidence of increase in glioma and acoustic neuroma brain cancer for mobile phone users, but have not been able to draw conclusions for other types of cancers

The biggest problem we have is that we know most environmental factors take several decades of exposure before we really see the consequences

The type of radiation coming out of a cell phone is called non-ionizing. It is not like an X-ray, but more like a very low-powered microwave oven.

"What microwave radiation does in most simplistic terms is similar to what happens to food in microwaves, essentially cooking the brain," Black said. "So in addition to leading to a development of cancer and tumors, there could be a whole host of other effects like cognitive memory function, since the memory temporal lobes are where we hold our cell phones."

The European Environmental Agency has pushed for more studies, saying cell phones could be as big a public health risk as smoking, asbestos and leaded gasoline. The head of a prominent cancer-research institute at the University of Pittsburgh sent a memo to all employees urging them to limit cell phone use because of a possible risk of cancer.

When you look at cancer development -- particularly brain cancer -- it takes a long time to develop

Results from the largest international study on cell phones and cancer was released in 2010. It showed participants in the study who used a cell phone for 10 years or more had doubled the rate of brain glioma, a type of tumor. To date, there have been no long-term studies on the effects of cell phone usage among children.

Children's skulls and scalps are thinner. So the radiation can penetrate deeper into the brain of children and young adults. Their cells are at a dividing faster rate, so the impact of radiation can be much larger

a study by researchers at the National Institutes of Health, revealed radiation emitted after just 50 minutes on a mobile phone increases the activity in brain cells. The effects of brain activity being artificially stimulated are still unknown

dealt a blow to those who have long said, 'There is no possible mechanism for cell phones to cause cancer.' By classifying cell phones as a possible carcinogen, they also seem to be tacitly admitting a mechanism could exist

Manufacturers of many popular cell phones already warn consumers to keep their device away from their body and medical experts say there other ways to minimize cell phone radiation

The Apple iPhone 4 safety manual says users' radiation exposure should not exceed FCC guidelines: "When using iPhone near your body for voice calls or for wireless data transmission over a cellular network, keep iPhone at least 15 millimeters (5/8 inch) away from the body

BlackBerry Bold advises users to "keep the BlackBerry device at least 0.98 inch (25 millimeters) from your body when the BlackBerry device is transmitting

The logic behind such recommendations is that the further the phone is from the body, the less radiation is absorbed. Users can also use the speakerphone function or a wired earpiece to gain some distance.

Users can text instead of talk if they want to keep the phone away from their faces.

Finally, cell phones emit the most radiation when they are attempting to connect to cellular towers. A moving phone, or a phone in an area with a weak signal, has to work harder, giving of more radiation. So users can avoid using their cell phones in elevators, buildings and rural areas if they want to reduce their exposure, experts say

If you Talk on your phone bottom line is becareful Limit How Long you Talk on the phone and if its possible talk on a non cell phone device it will be a lot safer that way

How to Burn a CD

A Lot of People have Photos And Videos And Or Music That they want to take From Computer To Computer One Way You Can Do That is By Buring it all onto a CD And Here is How you Can Do That

Here is How

Check your computer to see that it has a CD or DVD drive that is capable of burning CDs. This drive may be built into your computer or an external drive. Either type should work equally well.

Make sure you have a CD that can be burned. There are two types of CDs that you can use.

A CD-R (Compact Disc-Recordable) is a Write Once Read Many (WORM) optical medium. This means that once the disk is burned it can not be erased. This type disk is usually used for permanent storage. For example; a music CD, a picture CD, or any other type of data that you want to keep permanently.
A CD-RW (Compact Disc ReWritable) is a rewritable optical disc format. This type of disk can be burned, erase, and then burned again. This type disk is usually used for temporary data storage.

Decide on the type of CD you plan to burn. There are many different types of CDs that can be burned and how you proceed depends on which type you are going to burn. The major types of CD that can be burned are:

Music. This type of CD is the type of CD that is normaly burned for use in a home or automobile CD player.
Data. This type of CD is most often used to store files that can be used by a computer. This type of CD can not be used in a standard home or automobile CD player. They are formatted using the "ISO9660" format, which cannot be read by a standard CD player.
MP3. This is a data CD containing only mp3 compressed music files. Because it is actually an ISO9660 data CD, not all CD players will be able to play it. This type of CD can contain a much larger number of songs than a music CD but can only be played on a computer or CD player specifically designed to play MP3s.
Disk image. A disk image file is a file that contains an exact copy of a disk. The most common type of Disk image is an .ISO image. Disk images are usually used for storing an exact copy of a CD on a computer. By using a computer, one can burn a CD from an .ISO image and create a usable CD.
Ripping. Ripping a CD is the process of taking the audio off of one CD and either storing it on a computer or burning it to a second CD, thereby making a copy of the first CD.

Decide on the software you want to burn your CD with. There are many different programs that are designed to burn CD's. Some are built into the computer's operating system, while others are individual programs. These programs range from very simple to very complex. Some of these are free, while others have to be purchased.

Burn your CD. Burning your CD is as simple as running the software that you are going to burn your CD with, putting a CD into your CD burner, selecting the data to be burned, and then telling the program to burn the CD.

Use a good quality disk. Some low quality disk will give poor results.

Do not use any applications while the burning is processing.

Some older players cannot play CD-R or CD-RW discs.

Make sure that the blank CD is not scratched or soiled. A bad blank CD will result in a bad or unusable CD.its simple and its easy

WARNING Don't use pirated files. Doing so can get you into trouble.

And Once you have Done That you Are Done

Chutes and Ladders

A classic Milton Bradley game, Chutes and Ladders is an easy game to enjoy with your younger children. No reading is required to play, but the game teaches kids to recognize numbers and count up to 100. Rules are simple enough for children as young as three and the recommended age range for this game is three to six.

How to Play

Choose your playing piece and spin the dial to see who goes first. The player with the highest number on the wheel plays first. Place each person's player just left of square number one.

Spin the dial and move the corresponding number of squares. Each player gets one spin a turn.

Continue playing Chutes and Ladders in turns. When you land on a square with a picture of the bottom of a ladder, move up the ladder to the square where the ladder ends. When you land on a square with a picture of a chute, move down the chute to the square where the chute ends.

Count squares through which ladders and chutes pass as regular squares. Only go up or down if you land on a square where the chute or ladder starts or ends.

Keep playing until a player reaches square 100 either by an exact dial spin or by the ladder leading from square 80. The first player to reach square 100 wins the game.

Two to four people may play at one time.

Two or more players can land on the same square.

Always remember that ladders only lead up and chutes only lead down.

This game contains objects which pose a choking hazard for children under three.

Cancer

What is it

Cancer is actually a group of many related diseases that all have to do with cells. Cells are the very small units that make up all living things, including the human body. There are billions of cells in each person's body.

Cancer happens when cells that are not normal grow and spread very fast. Normal body cells grow and divide and know to stop growing. Over time, they also die. Unlike these normal cells, cancer cells just continue to grow and divide out of control and don't die when they're supposed to.

Cancer cells usually group or clump together to form tumors (say: too-mers). A growing tumor becomes a lump of cancer cells that can destroy the normal cells around the tumor and damage the body's healthy tissues. This can make someone very sick.

Sometimes cancer cells break away from the original tumor and travel to other areas of the body, where they keep growing and can go on to form new tumors. This is how cancer spreads. The spread of a tumor to a new place in the body is called metastasis (say: meh-tas-tuh-sis).

Causes of Cancer

You probably know a kid who had chickenpox — maybe even you. But you probably don't know any kids who've had cancer. If you packed a large football stadium with kids, probably only one child in that stadium would have cancer.

Doctors aren't sure why some people get cancer and others don't. They do know that cancer is not contagious. You can't catch it from someone else who has it — cancer isn't caused by germs, like colds or the flu are. So don't be afraid of other kids — or anyone else — with cancer. You can talk to, play with, and hug someone with cancer.

Kids can't get cancer from anything they do either. Some kids think that a bump on the head causes brain cancer or that bad people get cancer. This isn't true! Kids don't do anything wrong to get cancer. But some unhealthy habits, especially cigarette smoking or drinking too much alcohol every day, can make you a lot more likely to get cancer when you become an adult.

Finding Out about Cancer

It can take a while for a doctor to figure out a kid has cancer. That's because the symptoms cancer can cause — weight loss, fevers, swollen glands, or feeling overly tired or sick for a while — usually are not caused by cancer. When a kid has these problems, it's often caused by something less serious, like an infection. With medical testing, the doctor can figure out what's causing the trouble.

If the doctor suspects cancer, he or she can do tests to figure out if that's the problem. A doctor might order X-rays and blood tests and recommend the person go to see an oncologist (say: on-kah-luh-jist). An oncologist is a doctor who takes care of and treats cancer patients. The oncologist will likely run other tests to find out if someone really has cancer. If so, tests can determine what kind of cancer it is and if it has spread to other parts of the body. Based on the results, the doctor will decide the best way to treat it.

One test that an oncologist (or a surgeon) may perform is a biopsy (say: by-op-see). During a biopsy, a piece of tissue is removed from a tumor or a place in the body where cancer is suspected, like the bone marrow. Don't worry — someone getting this test will get special medicine to keep him or her comfortable during the biopsy. The sample that's collected will be examined under a microscope for cancer cells.

The sooner cancer is found and treatment begins, the better someone's chances are for a full recovery and cure.

Treating Cancer Carefully

Cancer is treated with surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation — or sometimes a combination of these treatments. The choice of treatment depends on:

the type of cancer someone has (the kind of abnormal cells causing the cancer)
the stage of the tumor (meaning how much the cancer has spread within the body, if at all)
Surgery is the oldest form of treatment for cancer — 3 out of every 5 people with cancer will have an operation to remove it. During surgery, the doctor tries to take out as many cancer cells as possible. Some healthy cells or tissue may also be removed to make sure that all the cancer is gone.

Chemotherapy (say: kee-mo-ther-uh-pee) is the use of anti-cancer medicines (drugs) to treat cancer. These medicines are sometimes taken as a pill, but usually are given through a special intravenous (say: in-truh-vee-nus) line, also called an IV. An IV is a tiny plastic catheter (straw-like tube) that is put into a vein through someone's skin, usually on the arm. The catheter is attached to a bag that holds the medicine. The medicine flows from the bag into a vein, which puts the medicine into the blood, where it can travel throughout the body and attack cancer cells.

Chemotherapy is usually given over a number of weeks to months. Often, a permanent catheter is placed under the skin into a larger blood vessel of the upper chest. This way, a person can easily get several courses of chemotherapy and other medicines through this catheter without having a new IV needle put in. The catheter remains under the skin until all the cancer treatment is completed.

Radiation (say: ray-dee-ay-shun) therapy uses high-energy waves, such as X-rays (invisible waves that can pass through most parts of the body), to damage and destroy cancer cells. It can cause tumors to shrink and even go away completely. Radiation therapy is one of the most common treatments for cancer. Many people with cancer find it goes away after receiving radiation treatments.

With both chemotherapy and radiation, kids may experience side effects. A side effect is an extra problem that's caused by the treatment. Radiation and anti-cancer drugs are very good at destroying cancer cells but, unfortunately, they also destroy healthy cells. This can cause problems such as loss of appetite, tiredness, vomiting, or hair loss. With radiation, a person might have red or irritated skin in the area that's being treated. But all these problems go away and hair grows back after the treatment is over. During the treatment, certain medicines can help a kid feel better.

While treatment is still going on, a kid might not be able to attend school or be around crowds of people — the kid needs to rest and avoid getting infections, such as the flu, when he or she already isn't feeling well. The body may have more trouble fighting off infections because of the cancer or side effects of the treatment.

Getting Better

Remission (say: ree-mih-shun) is a great word for anyone who has cancer. It means all signs of cancer are gone from the body. After surgery or treatment with radiation or chemotherapy, a doctor will then do tests to see if the cancer is still there. If there are no signs of cancer, then the kid is in remission.

Remission is the goal when any kid with cancer goes to the hospital for treatment. Sometimes, this means additional chemotherapy might be needed for a while to keep cancer cells from coming back. And luckily, for many kids, continued remission is the very happy end of their cancer experience.

How Porn Harms Children

While there are many ways that pornography harms children, I want to assure you that every child who views pornography will not necessarily be affected and, at worst, traumatized in the same way. The effects of pornography are progressive and addictive for many people. Just as every person who takes a drink does not automatically become an alcoholic, every child who is exposed to pornography does not automatically become a sexual deviant or sex addict. However, since pornography has a new door to the home, school, and library through the Internet, it is important for us to look at the many ways that pornography can potentially harm our children.

Exposure to Pornography Threatens to Make Children
Victims of Sexual Violence

The Internet has proven a useful tool for pedophiles and sexual predators as they distribute child pornography, engage in sexually explicit conversations with children, and seek victims in chat rooms. The more pornography these individuals access, the higher the risk of their acting out what they see, including sexual assault, rape, and child molestation.
Pornography's Relationship to Rape and Sexual Violence
According to one study, early exposure (under fourteen years of age) to pornography is related to greater involvement in deviant sexual practice, particularly rape. Slightly more than one-third of the child molesters and rapists in this study claimed to have at least occasionally been incited to commit an offense by exposure to pornography. Among the child molesters incited, the study reported that 53 percent of them deliberately used the stimuli of pornography as they prepared to offend. i

The habitual consumption of pornography can result in a diminished satisfaction with mild forms of pornography and a correspondingly strong desire for more deviant and violent material.ii

Pornography's Relationship to Child Molestation
In a study of convicted child molesters, 77 percent of those who molested boys and 87 percent of those who molested girls admitted to the habitual use of pornography in the commission of their crimes.iii Besides stimulating the perpetrator, pornography facilitates child molestation in several ways. For example, pedophiles use pornographic photos to demonstrate to their victims what they want them to do. They also use them to arouse a child or to lower a child's inhibitions and communicate to the unsuspecting child that a particular sexual activity is okay: "This person is enjoying it; so will you."
Exposure to Pornography Frequently Results in Sexual Illnesses, Unplanned Pregnancies, and Sexual Addiction

As more and more children are exposed not only to soft-core pornography, but also to explicit deviant sexual material, they are learning an extremely dangerous message from pornographers: Sex without responsibility is acceptable and desirable. Because pornography encourages sexual expression without responsibility, it endangers children's health.

One of the grimmer consequences of adult-like sexual activity among children has been a steady increase in the extent to which youth are afflicted with venereal disease.iv In the United States about one in four sexually experienced teenagers acquires a sexually transmitted disease (STD) every year, resulting in three million cases of teenage STDs. Infectious syphilis rates have more than doubled among teenagers since the mid-1980s. More children contract sexually transmitted diseases each year than all the victims of polio in its eleven-year epidemic, 1942-1953.v

Another obvious result of children involved in adult sexual activity is the increased rate of pregnancy among teenagers.

Research has shown that "males who are exposed to a great deal of erotica before the age of 14 are more sexually active and engage in more varied sexual behaviors as adults than is true for males not so exposed."vi One study reveals that among 932 sex addicts, 90 percent of the men and 77 percent of the women reported that pornography was significant to their addiction.vii

Exposure to Pornography May Incite Children to Act Out
Sexually against Other Children

Children often imitate what they've seen, read, or heard. Studies suggest that exposure to pornography can prompt kids to act out sexually against younger, smaller, and more vulnerable children. Experts in the field of childhood sexual abuse report that any premature sexual activity in children always suggests two possible stimulants: experience and exposure. This means that the sexually deviant child may have been molested or simply exposed to sexuality through pornography.viii

In a study of six hundred American males and females of junior high school age and above, researcher Dr. Jennings Bryant found that 91 percent of the males and 82 percent of the females admitted having been exposed to X-rated, hard-core pornography. Over 66 percent of the males and 40 percent of the females reported wanting to try out some of the sexual behaviors they had witnessed. And among high schoolers, 31 percent of the males and 18 percent of the females admitted actually doing some of the things they had seen in the pornography within a few days after exposure.ix

Exposure to Pornography Shapes Attitudes and Values

Most of us caring, responsible parents want to instill in our children our own personal values about relationships, sex, intimacy, love, and marriage. Unfortunately, the powerful irresponsible messages of pornography may be educating our children on these very important life issues. Just as thirty-second commercials can influence whether or not we choose one popular soft drink over another, exposure to pornography shapes our attitudes and values and, often, our behavior.

Photographs, videos, magazines, virtual games, and Internet pornography that depict rape and the dehumanization of females in sexual scenes constitute powerful but deforming tools of sex education. The danger to children stems at least partly from the disturbing changes in attitude that are facilitated by pornography. Replicated studiesx have demonstrated that exposure to significant amounts of increasingly graphic forms of pornography has a dramatic effect on how adult consumers view women, sexual abuse, sexual relationships, and sex in general. These studies are virtually unanimous in their conclusions: When male subjects were exposed to as little as six weeks' worth of standard hard-core pornography, they:

developed an increased sexual callousness toward women

began to trivialize rape as a criminal offense or no longer considered it a crime at all

developed distorted perceptions about sexuality

developed an appetite for more deviant, bizarre, or violent types of pornography (normal sex no longer seemed to do the job)

devalued the importance of monogamy and lacked confidence in marriage as either a viable or lasting institution

viewed nonmonogamous relationships as normal and natural behaviorxi
Exposure to Pornography Interferes with a Child's
Development and Identity

During certain critical periods of childhood, a child's brain is being programmed for sexual orientation. During this period, the mind appears to be developing a "hardwire" for what the person will be aroused by or attracted to. Exposure to healthy sexual norms and attitudes during this critical period can result in the child developing a healthy sexual orientation. In contrast, if there is exposure to pornography during this period, sexual deviance may become imprinted on the child's "hard drive" and become a permanent part of his or her sexual orientation.xii
Psychologist Dr. Victor Cline's findings suggest that memories of experiences that occurred at times of emotional arousal (which could include sexual arousal) are imprinted on the brain by epinephrine, an adrenal gland hormone, and are difficult to erase. (This may partly explain pornography's addicting effect.) Viewing pornography can potentially condition some viewers to have recurring sexual fantasies during which they masturbate. Later they may be tempted to act out the fantasies as sexual advances.

Sexual identity develops gradually through childhood and adolescence. In fact, children generally do not have a natural sexual capacity until between the ages of ten and twelve. As they grow up, children are especially susceptible to influences affecting their development. Information about sex in most homes and schools, comes, presumably, in age-appropriate incremental stages based on what parents, educators, physicians, and social scientists have learned about child development. But pornography short-circuits and/or distorts the normal personality development process and supplies misinformation about a child's sexuality, sense of self, and body that leaves the child confused, changed, and damaged.xiii

Pornography often introduces children prematurely to sexual sensations that they are developmentally unprepared to contend with. This awareness of sexual sensation can be confusing and overstimulating for children.

The sexual excitement and eventual release obtained through pornography are mood altering. For example, if a young boy's early stimulus was pornographic photographs, he can be conditioned to become aroused through photographs. Once this pairing is rewarded a number of times, it is likely to become permanent. xiv The result is that it becomes difficult for the individual to experience sexual satisfaction apart from pornographic images.

Most of us find it difficult to talk to our children about sex in general, let alone the harmful effects of pornography, as graphically described in this chapter. We want to protect the innocence and purity of childhood for as long as possible.

Books

Books are Very Important Before We Had Computers Back in the Day Books were used a lot to research and still is used today in the matter fact not all info you will find online

i Think Everybody should read a little bit

Why

From time to time people have wondered why reading is important. There seems so many other things to do with one's time. Reading is important for a variety of reasons. We will look at some of those fundamental reasons below, but it is important to realize that struggling with vital reading skills in not a sign a low intelligence. For example, John Corcoran, who wrote The Teacher Who Couldn't Read, is a very intelligent man. He graduated from High School and College, became a popular High School teacher and later a successful business man all without being able to read. Many highly intelligent people have struggled with reading although, when properly taught, most people can learn to read easily and quickly.
Now, if a man like John Corcoran can succeed without reading, why is reading important? A person should really read Mr. Corcoran's story to get the feeling of shame, loneliness and fear that he experienced before he learned to read. He was able to succeed in spite of this major handicap because he was a man of intelligence, ability and determination. But, make no mistake, it was a handicap that made life harder and less enjoyable.

Reading is fundamental to function in today's society. There are many adults who cannot read well enough to understand the instructions on a medicine bottle. That is a scary thought - especially for their children. Filling out applications becomes impossible without help. Reading road or warning signs is difficult. Even following a map becomes a chore. Day-to-day activities that many people take for granted become a source of frustration, anger and fear.
2. Reading is a vital skill in finding a good job. Many well-paying jobs require reading as a part of job performance. There are reports and memos which must be read and responded to. Poor reading skills increases the amount of time it takes to absorb and react in the workplace. A person is limited in what they can accomplish without good reading and comprehension skills.

3. Reading is important because it develops the mind. The mind is a muscle. It needs exercise. Understanding the written word is one way the mind grows in its ability. Teaching young children to read helps them develop their language skills. It also helps them learn to listen. Everybody wants to talk, but few can really listen. Lack of listening skills can result in major misunderstandings which can lead to job loss, marriage breakup, and other disasters - small and great. Reading helps children [and adults] focus on what someone else is communicating.

4. Why is reading important? It is how we discover new things. Books, magazines and even the Internet are great learning tools which require the ability to read and understand what is read. A person who knows how to read can educate themselves in any area of life they are interested in. We live in an age where we overflow with information, but reading is the main way to take advantage of it.

5. Reading develops the imagination. TV and computer games have their place, but they are more like amusement. Amusement comes from two words "a" [non] and "muse" [think]. Amusement is non-thinking activities. With reading, a person can go anywhere in the world...or even out of it! They can be a king, or an adventurer, or a princess, or... The possibilities are endless. Non-readers never experience these joys to the same extent.

6. In line with the above, reading develops the creative side of people. When reading to children, stop every once in awhile and ask them what they think is going to happen next. Get them thinking about the story. When it is finished, ask if they could think of a better ending or anything that would have improved it. If they really liked the story, encourage them to illustrate it with their own drawings or to make up a different story with the same characters. Get the creative juices flowing!

7. Reading is fundamental in developing a good self image. Nonreaders or poor readers often have low opinions of themselves and their abilities. Many times they feel as if the world is against them. They feel isolated [everybody else can read - which isn't true] and behavior problems can surface. They can perform poorly in other subjects because they cannot read and understand the material and so tend to "give up."

8. Why is reading important? Let's keep going... Good reading skills, especially in a phonics reading program, improve spelling. As students learn to sound out letters and words, spelling comes easier. Also, reading helps to expand the vocabulary. Reading new words puts them in their mind for later use. Seeing how words are used in different contexts can give a better understanding of the word usage and definitions than the cold facts of a dictionary.

9. There is an old saying, "The pen is mightier than the sword." Ideas written down have changed the destiny of men and nations for better or worse. The flow of ideas cannot be stopped. We need to read and research to build on the good ideas and expose the bad ideas before they bring destruction. Only by reading can we be armed in this never-ending, life-and-death struggle.

10. The fact of the power of written ideas communicated through reading is a foundational reason why some governments oppose free and honest communication. Illiterate people are easier to control and manipulate. They cannot do their own research and thinking. They must rely on what they are told and how their emotions are swayed. There is a good possibility that this is one of the main reasons phonics was removed from the schools about 100 years ago.

11. Finally, why is reading important? Reading is important because words - spoken and written - are the building blocks of life. You are, right now, the result of words that you have heard or read AND believed about yourself. What you become in the future will depend on the words you believe about yourself now. People, families, relationships, and even nations are built from words. Think about it.

According to Jonathan Kozol in "Illiterate America," quoted in "The Teacher Who Couldn't Read,'" the three main reasons people give for wanting to read are:

1. To read the Bible,
2. To read books and newspapers, and
3. To help their children.

Now that you know why its important

you should get some books either buy it or go to your local library

Procrastination

We All Do it Or At Least Once in our life time we have done it and im going to talk about it

What is Procrastination

it is When you Put Stuff Off Until the Very Last Minute

Effects of Procrastination

More often than not, procrastinating results in task being put off until the very last minute. If fear of failure or success made you anxious when faced with a difficult task, imagine the anxiety you will feel when you have a deadline approaching for a critical task that will not be completed because of your procrastination.

Now think about if you have multiple tasks that are to be completed around the same time. You are probably getting nervous just thinking about situations like this you have either put yourself in or are about to put yourself in.

Time and time again, for whatever reason, we put things off until the last minute and every time we do we have that same nervous feeling come over our body. For the sake of our physical, mental, and emotional well being we must learn how to stop procrastination. If you are not careful, the effects of procrastination can have damaging consequences on your life.

How to Stop Procrastination

Before you can even begin thinking about how to stop procrastination, it is imperative that you identify tasks that you really don’t like doing. Once you do, you can honestly begin to ask yourself if you are postponing task or prioritizing.

When you have answered this question, you can then think seriously about those tasks that fall low enough on our list of priorities in order for you not to want to deal with them.

You access and re-access your priorities on a daily basis, as you should; especially as busy as you are today this is inevitable.

However, most times we know exactly what we are doing when we put off certain things. Whether you want to face it or not, you know when you are procrastinating and the fact you do it mostly on your own clock means you can justify doing it.

If you think this isn’t you, just think about the time you just had to check your e-mail ten times before finishing that paper. If you have established that you may have a problem with procrastination take heed to the information that follows.

Make A List of That Task That Are Prone to it

First thing you want to do to learn how to stop procrastination is make a short list of the tasks you really dislike doing. Next to each task, write a sentence or two describing why you don’t like the particular task.

In order for this to work you must be brutally honest with yourself. Don’t be ashamed to admit if something is very hard for you, boring, or if the only reason you are doing it is because your spouse expects you to do it.

Now that you have your list and your reasons for disliking that task, it’s time to think about if getting the task done with benefit you or not.

If you have decided that it will benefit you, think about if the benefit of knocking out the task is greater than the annoyance of doing it.

Sure it’s a pain every single month sitting down with the check book and paying all the monthly bills and expenses, but there is no doubt that you can get yourselves into huge trouble if you do not do it. Completing this task requires quite a bit of effort on your part.

You have to sieve through all the mail and separate the junk mail from the bills. Then you have to get out the check book and write out checks for each of the monthly expenses you have Then you have to balance your check book to make sure you have enough funds to cover all the expenses Then it’s off to the post office for postage stamps and mailing the bills. Most people will agree, once you get through sieving through the junk mail it’s not so bad.

Break Complicated Tasks into More Manageable Tasks

By doing this you are well on your way to learning how to stop procrastination. How so you ask? Well, what you have already done was taken a task that you dread and broken it down into more manageable task.

Almost all complicated task reach completion this way, there is always some level of organizing and dividing of priorities. If you pay your bills every month, you have already exercised your ability to “divide and conquer” a task.

Some times we are faced with responsibilities that frighten us; we aren’t frighten because the job will cause physical harm, but because we think we may not do a very good job.

Just like you broke boring or complicated task into more manageable jobs, you can do the same for a task that frightens you. Attempt the part of the task that is the least frightening and work your way through the completion of the task by doing smaller components first.

In addition to organizing and prioritizing of work, there will be some level of planning. If you have a task you need to get done for the boss, you will have to spend some time just sitting and thinking about how best to approach the problem. You should run different scenarios through your head and try to anticipate some of the questions you will be expected to answer, then think about what information you need to obtain to answer these questions.

Here is a another list things you may want to consider as you complete this task:

•Will the task be completed by you alone, or will you require assistance?

•Are you the bottle neck in the completion of a larger job, in other words does a coworker require something from you in order for them to complete their part?

•Will you need to layout what needs to be done before you start?

Think about what parts of the job scares you and ask yourself why.
Hopefully as you sort out what needs to be done, you are able to minimize your fears and be mindful of the work that needs to be done and the way it is done.

Bounce Ideas off of other people

Sometimes the best way to find a solution to a concern or problem you are having is to talk it over with someone. What you will find is that even if the person has no experience with what you are talking about, you may come to a conclusion just by talking it over with them.

What you want to avoid doing is getting yourself all worked up about the task and dive into it without proper preparation. Give yourself a realistic time frame that you think you can accomplish the job in. When the job is really tough and has many components, and breaking it down into more manageable task doesn’t work, you may have to try another approach.

You should start thinking about how you can better organize the task into sub-task.One approach to doing this is to divide the sub-task into ranking groups. Each group will have a number 1-3 that is associated with the level of priority.

For example, tasks that fall in group 1 will be the more important tasks and shall be more complicated. These are the tasks you are tempted to procrastinate the most, because they will generally hard to begin.

Usually group 1 tasks will not be completed on one attempt, and will probably always require time planning how the task is to be carried out.

Group 2 task are of less importance than group 1 tasks, but are not considered tasks that you can knock out in five minutes. These task will take some level or effort and may be moderately complicated.

And finally, task that fall into group 3 are lowest of the priority list, but are not task that can be blown off. These task will usually take minimal time and effort to complete.

Completion of the group 3 task will give you a sense of accomplishment and also gets you warmed up before you attempt group 2 and 1 task. Do not concentrate solely on these task because as mentioned, these are low on the totem pole in terms of importance. Also, by concentrating on the group 3 task you neglect the more important groups 1 and 2 task. Although group 3 task are low on priority, they help get you warmed up.

This approach can easily be applied at work to help you get your day started. Once you get into the office you get can begin working on your group 3 tasks, this will get you into the working mode. You can knock out a few items from this list to give yourself a sense of accomplishment. Be careful though, you don’t want to complete all the things on this list. In fact, you should strive to leave a decent amount of work from this pile for the next day.

After getting a few things done in the group 3 pile, you are ready to begin working on 1 or 2 task. Once you get started on the group 1 and 2 pile, spend a significant amount time working on them. Try to spend at least an hour working on these task, so that at the close of the hour you will have made a great deal of progress. Even though the group 1 and 2 task are more difficult than the group 3 task, you get more enjoyment out of out making progress toward group 1 and 2 task.

Spend a minute imagining how excited and relieved you will feel at the end of the business day knowing you have made significant strides with your 1 and 2 task. Before you leave for the day, organize your piles for the next day. Make sure you have a few tasks in the group 3 piles that you can start with the next morning. Then select which 1 and 2 task you will work on after you have finished category 3 task and you are warmed up for the day.

Just like procrastinating can become a habit, you can make a habit out of this practice. Every morning you go into the office, repeat this same routine until it become second nature to you.

You can also apply this technique at home and in your personal life. Every evening when you get home, sit down and write up a list of jobs you need to get done around the house.

Make sure you rate them in terms of priority, just as you did for responsibilities at work. Things that should not make the list include going to that new restaurant that you have wanted to try or stopping by the electronics store before you get to work in the morning.

You may want to include checking the kids homework before they go to bed or making a list for grocery shopping. Think about things you know need to be done, but for some reason or another you procrastinate with them. Hopefully, you found these procrastination tips helpful and easy to incorporate into your daily routine.

Pet Society

Pet Society is a Name of a Game its Kinda Like Harvest Moon and Today i am Going to share with you the game and some tips and hints

A lot of people are interested in cheats for Pet Society. Sorry to say though, that there are no true cheats for Playfish’s Pet Society. Nope, there is no “god mode,” no infinite happiness, no unlimited coins, and no key press combinations of any sort during the start screen. However, that’s not to say there aren’t any tricks you could learn.

In a game like Pet Society, being able to cheat would virtually destroy the entire point of the game, and if you’re intending to cheat, be aware that Playfish is taking measures against it. Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look for ways to better your avatar from more experienced players in a more “legal” fashion.

A common question people have is how do I earn a lot of money? Somehow, there are players that have multiple rooms, the most expensive items, and still have plenty to spare. So how do the rich do it?

Yes, you can clean and play with your pet, and you can run your daily races and try to win, but this is a social game, and what better way to earn money in a social game than… well, be social. The number one way to earn some extra cash in Pet Society (aside from flat out buying it) is to have friends (lots, and lots, and lots of friends). Most of the rich veteran players have over 100 different friends in their society, and this equates to lots of time spent grooming, feeding, and bathing those pets for money.

Too mundane you say? Well, another option is to earn those “Paw Points” and level up to unlock those new features and items. If you’ve heeded the above advice and have a number of friends, pick one that you know you can trust and send them the most expensive item you have as a gift. Sending gifts earns you a hefty portion of Paw Points, and once they receive it, have them send it right back (next, rinse and repeat). Now you both earn a little something and don’t loose anything.

However, if you do intend to utilize this particular method, you should be aware that like any other game, Pet Society is not free of bugs. There have been user reports of occasionally losing items via this method so proceed at your own risk. With that said, there have also been reports of this method accidentally duplicating sent gifts. Sometimes you’ll get lucky, sometimes not.

Of course, this is only the tip of the iceberg as far as this game goes. With a constantly growing and active community, there are always more tricks to learn, and forums to join. If you want to learn more, or just meet some new players, definitely check out Pet Society Chatter. It’s a great source of tips, strategies, contests, and an overall friendly and active community.

How Do Wild Fires Effect the Ozone Layer

Wildfires release chlorine-containing compounds. Some of these can reach the ozone layer, and cause photocatalytic ozone depletion.

Wildfires consume oxygen, and destroy oxygen producers. Ozone depends on oxygen being present to be made.

Wildfires alter the surface reflectance of Earth's surface (hotter / more absorptive), and loft water vapor. Both of these tend to drive more water vapor into the ozone layer, where it too causes ozone depletion.

Wildfires are also a part of Nature's cycles, biomes depend on some "periodic" wildfire events, so elimination of them will be harmful to those biomes. Most especially grasslands.

And Because it Burns Through the Sky

Ozone in the Earth's lower atmosphere, or troposphere, has increased significantly in the last 100 years, with harmful effects on humans, plants and animals. Exposure to increased ozone levels can cause throat and lung irritation or aggravation of asthma or emphysema.

This so-called "bad" ozone forms when nitrogen oxide gases from vehicle and industrial emissions react with volatile organic compounds -- carbon-containing chemicals that evaporate easily into the air, such as gasoline and paint thinners.

Wild Fires Happend a lot in the Mid West Especially During Dry Season During that Season When They Do Develop you Are Encouraged

Not To Start a Fire Because Starting one outside can Actioley Triger To Worser Problems if you do start one make sure you burn it out and well

If a Fire Starts To Get Near your Home Leave Right Away

Its Better to Be Safe Than Sorry

Every Year During Wild Fire Season Thousand And Thousands of Acres

Are Burned

What States do Wild Fires Happen the most in

Arizona California and New Mexico

Although Wild Fires Can Happen to Any Area that is Suffering From a Drought

How to Spot a Liar Or More

Being a true human lie detector like Dr. Cal Lightman on “Lie to Me” has to be a pretty nifty party trick.

i want to protect you against all those sneaky liars looking to deceive you. With this in mind, we’ve created a list with a number of tips that will help you identify day to day lies. We hope they’ll be useful!

Experts in deception know that:

> Truth tends to make sense: Words, body language and actions fit into each other nicely when someone’s telling the truth.

> There’s one emotion for every reaction: If an honest person likes your shoes, they will smile first and compliment them or vice versa. A “liar”, on the other hand, will do both at the same time and their reactions will last less than normal.

> When responding to a direct question, a liar will use the same words used by the person interrogating them. For example: “Did you break the vase?” “No, I did not break the vase”.

> Emotions are mirrored in our whole face: Someone who really smiles does so with eyes and brows, too. Liars smile just with their lips.

> Liars tend to touch different parts of their faces when they tell a lie. Nose scratching, lip-biting and head-scratching are some of the tell-tale signs of deceitful statements.

> A liar will take a little longer answering a question than a person who is telling the truth.

> When someone is guilty, they become aggressive when defending themselves. An innocent person will question the reasons they’re being blamed rather than become defensive.

> A liar will try to keep communication to a minimum when it comes to the person they’re lying to. If they must talk to this person, they will be visibly uncomfortable on most cases.

> Liars don’t emphasize different parts of their speech while someone who is telling the truth will accentuate the important bits of information in a story.

> Liars tend to speak more than necessary or change the subject immediately after lying.

> Some liars rub their eyes unconsciously to avoid eye contact with their listener.

> If a person shakes their head while making an affirmative comment, it’s likely that they’re lying.

> When lying, people place objects (glasses, pens, books) between them and the person being lied to.

> Someone who lies will make up excuses before they’re asked to give them.

Generators

Generators Are A Awesome Tool Especially if your in a area where you lose power frequently its a good idea to have a Back Up Source for Electricitie some people have generators and now im going to tell you about them

What is a Generator

A Generator is A Back up Device that Supplys you Power to your house when the power from the power company is down

How Do i Set up a Generator

Electric generators are potentially lethal if not used properly. There is a very real risk of injuring or killing someone working on power lines with a generator improperly connected to your home. Homeowners should know the correct way to use a backup generator. This page will explain how a generator transfer panel is properly installed. It will alert you to potential dangers and provide some insight on the workings of electricity. You will better understand the reasoning behind the need of a transfer panel instead of a simple double male extension cord. It is not my intent to encourage homeowners to make wiring changes, but rather to provide information which will promote safe and proper generator use. This knowledge can be used while choosing an electrician to do the installation work, and clarify what is being done. You will be able to ask intelligent questions, and maybe even point out wiring errors which must be corrected.
If you are hiring a certified electrician to make sure the work is done properly and just in case your insurance company asks questions, insist on getting a wiring permit and having the work inspected afterwards. Without this paper trail you might as well hire your next door neighbor to do the wiring. Paying an electrician cash under the table to save a few dollars will not provide the protection you think it does.

In many areas, any additions or upgrades to an electrical system is required to have an electrical permit authorized by the local electrical authority. You must be a licenced electrican to obtain a permit to do such upgrades, including any generator transfer panel installation. In the event of a fire directly related to an improper installation, you can be charged and your house insurance may not cover the damage.

In defiance of such rules, people often make electrical changes as they see fit, whether to install a dimmer switch, or to wire their newly renovated basement. In this situation, I encourage people to respect electricity, do the work correctly, and not take short cuts that could jeopardize the safety of themselves or others. A transfer panel installation is more involved than the typical do-it-yourself electrical job. Every installation will have its own set of unique conditions. Use information presented as a basic guideline only. I do not recommend this project be attempted by the average home owner, and anyone qualified to do such work will likely not need this page at all. Electricity is a useful tool, but it can kill and burn if not used properly. If you are not fully qualified, knowledgeable, and experienced with the workings of home electrical systems hire someone competent. Click on all links and read thoroughly before proceeding.

Safety first. Never connect a generator by using a double male cord plugged into the dryer or stove outlets. This technique is referred to as backfeeding and is potentially very dangerous. Do a web search for generator backfeed and read the responses. Backfeeding creates a possibility of returning power to the grid with potentially lethal results to people trying to repair the power lines. Even though you may know to turn off the main breaker, what will happen if someone else decides to connect the generator and leaves it on? These techniques are along the lines of playing Russian Roulette, except you are gambling with someone else's life. Do it right or don't do it at all.
The safe (and legal) approach is to install a proper transfer panel to provide isolation. The panel will have two breakers through which power feeds. It provides a mechanical lockout system that prevents both breakers from being on at the same time. One breaker is fed from the main panel and normal power, the other connects to the generator. Alternately, extension cords can be used to plug in a freezer or fridge directly to the generator. The furnace can be rewired to use a twistlock wall outlet and connected the same way. Make sure to use cords which are in good condition and with proper current ratings.
It is odd that people will spend several hundred dollars on a new generator but then suddenly go cheap on connecting it to their home. The money saved isn't worth the risk of killing someone, starting a fire, or damaging your generator. When budgeting for the project include extra money for a transfer panel and proper installation.

Always ensure the neutral wire in the generator is connected through the 4 conductor extension cord.

Equally important for homeowners is the danger of carbon monoxide poisoning. Ensure adequate ventilation whenever operating a generator. Never operate a generator indoors, in an attached garage, near open windows or air intake ducts for a ventilation system. Carbon monoxide is odorless and its affects may be not noticed until it is too late. Keep the generator away from flammable objects and direct hot exhaust gas away from the house.

Carbon monoxide is an odorless gas which is present in the exhaust fumes of all internal combustion engines

You can't see or smell carbon monoxide, but at high levels it can kill a person in minutes. Know the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning. At moderate levels, you or your family can get severe headaches, become dizzy, mentally confused, nauseated, or faint. You can even die if these levels persist for a long time. Low levels can cause shortness of breath, mild nausea, and mild headaches, and may have longer term effects on your health. Since many of these symptoms are similar to those of the flu, food poisoning, or other illnesses, you may not think that carbon monoxide poisoning could be the cause.
Always supply adequate ventilation when operating a generator. Never operate a generator indoors, near an open window or intake ducts for a air exchanger system. The carbon monoxide fumes could enter the home from outdoors. Your home should have a carbon monoxide detector. A fireplace or furnace can malfunction and fill a home with carbon monoxide as well.

While power outages are not common, there is never a good time to be without electricity. Food preparation is difficult, kids get crazy without TV or video games, it's difficult to receive news reports and updates, and homes that use a well pump will be without water. Forget using your cordless phone or electric can opener. A long outage could cause food in your fridge and freezer to thaw. The basement could flood if you have a sump pump. In winter your house will quickly get cold, possibly freezing water lines. Homeowners should have an emergency kit containing a flashlight, battery-operated radio, food and water, backup heat source, and a backup power system readily available at all times. With a backup generator your family is taken care of, no worries about getting cold or not being able to eat. Total parts cost for the transfer panel is between about $200 and $600, depending on reusing circuit breakers, how generator cord connects, parts on hand, and so on. I consider it a worthwhile investment for such peace of mind. generator transfer panel supplies power to all essential items and there was even room left to add a few comfort items. Power outages are now optional. While others nearby don't have water to flush a toilet, we can watch satellite TV or even have a hot shower. During construction of our new house my wife was skeptical about spending extra money on something which seemed unnecessary. After several extended power outages, some following major snow storms, lesson has learned to appreciate the benefit of having backup power and agrees it is something we would never want to be without.

Plan ahead

Give plenty of time to research electric generators, their use and safety before starting your installation. If you hire someone you will be more knowledgeful and understand what is being done. Allow time to decide what critical items must be powered, calculate load requirements, and determine proper generator sizing. Do not wait until the last minute during a major storm or outage to begin your research. Generators will quickly disappear during an outage and electrical supply stores will have their supplies quickly diminished.

The system installed at home is not automated. During an outage the generator must be moved outdoors, cord connected, and the engine started. After running for a few minutes for the engine to stabilize electricity can be turned on at transfer panel. To prevent surge current from tripping the generator circuit breakers you initially turn off all transfer panel breakers. Turn on the well pump, septic pump, furnace, fridge, and freezer in that order, allowing the generator to stabilize before turning on the next device. After that the remaining breakers can be turned on. The generator will easily handle individual surge currents, but not all at once. Don't forget a way to secure the generator against theft. use a 6 foot cable lock to prevent the generator from being carried away.

When power is restored it is sometimes accompanied by high voltage spikes which could cause damage. To protect equipment in your home turn off all breakers on the main panel except for the living room lights. It provides an easy indication for when power is restored and will prevent other lights from coming on in the middle of the night. At worst you will lose a pair of light bulbs.reposition all switches in the house such that when everything points down the lights will be off. There is no more guessing about one switch up and the other down to have the lights off. This should be done regardless of whether you have backup power or not. While you are resetting clocks after an outage, don't forget the timer on the water softener.

It is a good idea to practice generator connection and reveiw safety with anyone who may have to use the system. Know how to check and top up the engine oil and refuel the gas tank. Never refuel while the engine is running or hot. Know how to reset your well pump and check for tripped circuit breakers.

Earthquakes

Earthquakes Happen on Our Planet Some Are little some are not So Little They Come Without Warning and its Important to Learn What To do if you Are in its path

How Earth Quakes Happen

Earthquakes Happen When the Plates Move when the Plates Move the Ground And your House will move along with it

Where Are Earthquakes the Most Common

The Earth Quakes Are The Most Common on the Ring of Fire

The Ring of Fire

The Ring of Fire is the Area Where the plates Are Connected togather its also the area Where Earthquakes happend alot and they can get pretty big

Why Do Some Areas Get Strong ones and Others Not So Strong

Some Areas Are Closer to the plates other areas are not Directly on the plate they may be on the plate but not close to it tho

What Can i Do To Stay Safe in a Earth Quake

If indoors

DROP to the ground; take COVER by getting under a sturdy table or other piece of furniture; and HOLD ON until the shaking stops. If there isn’t a table or desk near you, cover your face and head with your arms and crouch in an inside corner of the building.
Stay away from glass, windows, outside doors and walls, and anything that could fall, such as lighting fixtures or furniture.
Stay in bed if you are there when the earthquake strikes. Hold on and protect your head with a pillow, unless you are under a heavy light fixture that could fall. In that case, move to the nearest safe place.
Use a doorway for shelter only if it is in close proximity to you and if you know it is a strongly supported, loadbearing doorway.
Stay inside until the shaking stops and it is safe to go outside. Research has shown that most injuries occur when people inside buildings attempt to move to a different location inside the building or try to leave.
Be aware that the electricity may go out or the sprinkler systems or fire alarms may turn on.
DO NOT use the elevators.
If outdoors

Stay there.
Move away from buildings, streetlights, and utility wires.
Once in the open, stay there until the shaking stops. The greatest danger exists directly outside buildings, at exits and alongside exterior walls. Many of the 120 fatalities from the 1933 Long Beach earthquake occurred when people ran outside of buildings only to be killed by falling debris from collapsing walls. Ground movement during an earthquake is seldom the direct cause of death or injury. Most earthquake-related casualties result from collapsing walls, flying glass, and falling objects.

If in a moving vehicle

Stop as quickly as safety permits and stay in the vehicle. Avoid stopping near or under buildings, trees, overpasses, and utility wires.
Proceed cautiously once the earthquake has stopped. Avoid roads, bridges, or ramps that might have been damaged by the earthquake.

If trapped under debris
Do not light a match.
Do not move about or kick up dust.
Cover your mouth with a handkerchief or clothing.
Tap on a pipe or wall so rescuers can locate you. Use a whistle if one is available. Shout only as a last resort. Shouting can cause you to inhale dangerous amounts of dust.

As Long as you Do That you Will Always Be Prepared for a Earthquake once the Earth Quake is Through Be prepared For After Shocks They Do Come once in a while And Than Deal With the Damage that has been done check in on loved ones make sure that they are ok

Connect Four

Connect Four is a Name of a Board Game

First introduced in 1974 by Milton Bradley, Connect Four is similar to a vertical game of tic-tac-toe. Connect Four is a three-dimensional game with seven columns and six rows. Two play at a time, one with red checkers, the opponent with black checkers. The goal is to be the first to get four colored checkers in a row, horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

Things that you will Need

Connect Four board game
Two players

How To Play

Decide which player will play with red checkers and which with black checkers.

Determine who will go first and have that person drop one of his checkers down any of the seven slots.

Study the board for before taking your turn, be sure to check all patterns, horizontally, vertically and diagonally to block any potential win for your opponent.

Alternate turns until one player gets four checkers of his or her color in a row, horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

Slide the retaining lever at the bottom of the grid to the side to release all the checkers and you're ready to play again.

Tips and Warnings

The suggested age for players is seven and up.

More advanced players devise a strategy in which they set up a double threat for their opponent, much like in tic-tac-toe, where they have three checkers in a row in two different areas, forcing a win.

Pay attention to your opponent's strategy and try to block him or her from setting you up in a double threat situation.

Graphic Oragnizers

Graphic Organizers Help Our Lives Make It Easier When it Comes down To Writting Papers Or Projects Or Other Work Im Going to tell you about them

Graphic organizers are simply visual diagrams of ideas on paper. Teachers and students use them to create visual models of ideas presented in students' textbooks, classroom lectures, or video such as films and documentaries. Graphic organizers are great study guides that provide a visual map of ideas and their relationships to each other.

Graphic organizers are effective study guides that can provide students with a general overview of information, show patterns, highlight main ideas, and organize supporting facts. They can also help students understand and memorize ideas. Graphic organizers are helpful study guides for all students, but they are especially beneficial for students with expressive language and receptive language disorders and those who are visual learners.

With this type of representation, graphic organizers help students with language processing deficits by visually presenting the most important information and eliminating information that is not as critical. This helps students focus and to place information into a mental framework without excess language processing demands getting in the way.

Used as study guides, graphic organizers can help students link information to prior learning and provide a foundation to link future learning. The process of placing information onto the graphic organizer helps students think about concepts and organize those thoughts as they write. When used as a small group learning activity, graphic organizers can help students learn different ways of looking at the information by discussing ideas with others.

There are many types of graphic organizers, and one of the simplest forms is the Venn Diagram. Venn Diagrams are created by:

•Drawing an oval in the center of a paper and writing a few words in its center to represent the main idea being taught.
•Related ideas are placed in ovals that interconnect to the main idea.
•Ideas that relate to more than one additional oval are drawn so they extend into all related ideas.

Here is a Site That Has Graphic Organizers that you can get online or you can make one on paper

Next Time That you Are Writting a Paper Or Doing a Assignment or a Letter or anything Dont be afraid to do this method its not only For School you Can Do This For Work As Well

Its a Great Way To Have your Ideas Ready when you type it and it can help you keep those thoughts without loseing it usally when you think of something sometimes it goes away later on and you cant remember what you were going to say a graphic organizer can help keep that thought in your mind

Government

The Government is Very Important to Learn About the Goverment is who Controls Our Country He is also the Person Who Makes Laws And Changes Different things in our Country if We Pick a Good Leader Good Things Will Happend To the Country if we pick a bad one bad things will happend

When Choosing The Government

Read About The Governments Bio and all of The Other Canadates Profiles And See Which One you Like the Best Based on what you think is the best vote on that

Remember Democrat and Republican Will Most Likely Vote For Different People

Democrat It is a government elected by the people and democratic government is a co operative. In Democratic government, people have rights to take part in the decision of the government and they can change parliament members any time they want.

Republican a state in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives chosen directly or indirectly by them.

That depends upon the republic created and the constitution that supports it. The Constitution of the United States of America guarantees the States a republican form of government that quite clearly embraces democratic ideals. The former U.S.S.R. was a republic forming a totalitarian state, as is the same as The Peoples Republic of China. Many republics are run by dictators and other republics are run by elected officials who run on populist views and eventually discard the republic so that the general will will elect him or her as a dictator.

The central idea behind the American Republican form of democracy is like the checks and balances placed upon the elected officials and appointed officers of the court, so are there checks and balances placed upon the people where the general will can not affect the rights of the individual. It is the republic that has kept the people from voting their rights away, and as the people continue to vote themselves plundered money, the first thing that will be thrown away, will be the republic.

Some People Dont Care about Government but you should i have learned that you should care so when your 18 vote and for those of you who just turned 18 register to vote

How Do i Register to Vote

To Register To Vote you Have to Contact your City offices And They will Send you out a Form That you have to fill out fill out everything that its asking you for then send it back to them and you will be Registered to vote it is very easy as that

Does the Government have a Website

yes The Government does For the Government Site Go Here

What are the Steps That Have to be Done Before the Government passes on a Bill As A law

A bill is an idea for a new law, or an idea to change or do away with an existing law. Hundreds of bills enter the legislative process in West Virginia each time the Legislature meets. Two groups of elected citizens - 34 senators and 100 delegates - study, discuss and vote on bills, and in doing so act for the people of West Virginia. Bills enter the legislative process either through the House of Delegates or the Senate, but to become laws, bills must pass both chambers and avoid a governor’s veto.

If the Government Vetos it than that Must Mean he Doesn't Think its a good idea remember a bill can pass up to the government and than the government can say no and veto it

Prom

Prom Has Come Up For a Lot of People Prom is a Fun Event that Happends Every year and i thought id Tell you about it

What is Prom

prom, short for promenade, is a formal (black tie) dance, or gathering of high school students. It is typically held near the end of the senior year. It figures greatly in popular culture and is a major event among high school students. High school juniors attending the prom may call it Junior Prom while high school seniors may call it Senior Prom. In practice this may be a combined junior/senior dance.

At prom, a Prom Queen and Prom King may be revealed. These are honorary titles awarded to students chosen in a school-wide vote prior to the prom, and are usually given to seniors.[1] Juniors may also be honored, but would be called "Prom Prince" or "Prom Princess". Other students may be honored with inclusion in a "Prom Court". The selection method for Prom Court is similar to that of Homecoming Queen, King, and Court. Inclusion in a Prom Court is a reflection of popularity of those chosen and their level of participation in school activities, such as clubs or sports.

Prom Attire

Boys usually dress in black or white formal wear, regardless of the time of the event, sometimes paired with brightly colored ties or bow-ties with vests, in some cases in colors matching their date's dress. Most are rented from stores that specialize in formal wear rentals.
Girls wear traditional ladies dresses or gowns. They may purchase their prom dresses from specialized shops, boutiques, or internet retailers. There are many specialty labels selling prom dresses that release new collections each prom season.
Traditionally girls will also wear a corsage, given to them by their dates, and girls give boys matching boutonnières to be worn on their lapel.

Prom Logistics And Traditions

Prom attendees may be limited by their schools to be Juniors or Seniors and if guests, under age 21.[2] Before Prom, girls will typically get their hair styled, often in groups as a social activity at a salon. Prom dates will then gather at a park, garden, or their own and their date's houses for photographs. Prom attendees may rent limousines to transport groups of friends from their homes to the Prom venue: a banquet hall or school gymnasium. Some schools host their proms at venues such as hotel ballrooms and other venues where weddings typically take place. At Prom, a meal may be served. The dance itself may have a band or DJ. After Prom, a school or community may host a "Post Prom" at a restaurant or at school.

Tips For Asking Someone to Prom if
