How do I shoot a time lapse video?
Time lapse videos are sped up to show longer footage in a shorter period of time. For example, you can record the sun rising and use time lapse to show all of your footage in seconds.

To shoot a video with Hyperlapse:

Tap the circle at the bottom of the app. While recording, you'll see a timer on the left that shows how long your recording is and a timer on the right that shows how long your video will be once it’s sped up.

Use the slider to choose a speed for your video. By default, speed will be set at 6x.

How long can I shoot?

You can shoot a video for up to 10 minutes if you have an iPhone 4, or up to 45 minutes if you have an iPhone 5.

How do I use the different video speeds?

Hyperlapse allows you to choose different speeds. By default, videos are set to 6x. A 6x speed means that your Hyperlapse video will be 6 times faster than its original recording. For example, a 60-second video at 6x would end up being 10 seconds long after it’s sped up.

How do I share my video on Instagram?

Facebook Why Are People Taking The Ice Bucket Challenge

The rules are simple: Players have 24 hours to either to pour a bucket of ice cold water over their head on camera or contribute money to the charity of their choice. After they’ve made their decision, they appoint three more people to do the same.

The “ice bucket challenge” has taken social media by storm and shed light on Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a genetic disorder also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Martha Stewart, Lance Bass, Matt Lauer and other notable stars have taken part in the challenge in the weeks since Pete Frates, a former Boston College baseball captain who developed ALS two years ago, kicked off the games via social media.

ALS causes muscle spasms, decrease in muscle mass, difficulty in speaking, swallowing, and breathing, and eventually paralysis. Most people who suffer from ALS — more than 12,000 people of various racial and ethnic backgrounds in the United States — usually succumb to respiratory problems within three to five years of showing symptoms.

“Who knew all it would take was a bag of ice and a bucket?” said John Frates, father of Pete Frates, moments before 200 people simultaneously poured nine-quart buckets of ice water over their heads at Boston’s Copley Square last week. “This is a little bit of discomfort for a second, but it’s a lifetime of challenges for people with ALS.”

The ice bucket challenge counts among a host of cause marketing tools that nonprofit organizations and corporations have used to rally support around important causes. Well-known examples include breast cancer awareness campaigns, in which corporations change the color of their products to pink and donate portions of sales to breast cancer research, and campaigns encouraging supporters to shave their head bald as a show of solidarity with cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Some nonprofit organizations have also hosted sleep outs, events during which participants sleep outside for certain periods of time as part of an effort to raise awareness about homelessness.

While charities collected more than $358 million in donations last year through cause marketing, many people have questioned whether the campaigns actually strengthen efforts to cure deadly ailments. The ice bucket campaign’s detractors contend that it falls short in educating the public about the severity of ALS, a genetic disorder that attracts relatively less philanthropic giving than other ailments. In his Wall Street Journal opinion piece last week, Brian M. Carney warned readers against patting themselves on the back for imitating the suffering of those really inflicted with the deadly illness.

“Sure, the ice-bucket brigade has raised ‘awareness’ about ALS, and no doubt money as well. But there must be a better way to accomplish the same thing without encouraging people to do a little pretend suffering — whether that means pouring a bucket of cold water over your head, or running a 10K race or taking on some other physical inconvenience — when it’s the people being helped who know all too well what real suffering is,” Carney wrote.

Breast cancer philanthropy efforts have faced similar scrutiny in recent years, due to what detractors consider the rebranding of corporate products that have been found to contain cancer-causing ingredients. Last year, Breast Cancer Action, a national grassroots breast cancer awareness organization, launched a campaign to stop what it calls “pinkwashing.” In her statement on Breast Cancer Action’s website, Executive Director Kuruna Jaggar appealed to environmentalists and health activists to rally against producers of Swiffer products and Cover Girl cosmetics — products that contain cancer-causing chemicals — for their attempts to profit from breast cancer awareness campaigns and cover up their part in perpetuating the prevalence of the ailment.

“[A]t Breast Cancer Action, we call October ‘Breast Cancer Industry Month,’ the month when corporations make money professing how much they care about breast cancer by selling pink ribbon products… this year, companies are at it again, making money hand over fist by selling products in the name of breast cancer — some of which contain the very chemicals that increase a woman’s risk of the disease,” said Jaggar on Breast Cancer Action’s webpage.

While it’s unclear whether the ice-bucket challenge has impacted ALS philanthropy as a whole, some nonprofits have benefited from the recent exposure. The ALS Association reported $168,000 in donations last week, and representatives of the ALS Development Institute said that online donations have increased ten-fold since Frates started the game weeks ago.

We have removed the daily limits on Commenting so you are now free to comment on answers, discuss, debate, clarify and of course, thank other users for helpful answers.

This week, we’ll begin rolling out a streamlined look for Pages on desktop that will make it easier for people to find the information they want and help Page admins find the tools they use most. Here are the key features of the update:

Updated Page timeline design
The right-side column of your timeline now displays all your Page’s posts. This one-column display means that all of your posts will appear consistently on your Page and in News Feed.

The left-side column of your timeline features information about your business, including a map, your hours of business, phone number and website URL, as well as photos and videos.

Easier access to key admin tools
No matter where you are on your Page, you can now view information about the ads you’re running and new likes on your Page, as well unread notifications and messages. You can click on any section in the This Week section for more detail.
We’ve also added new navigation options to the top of the Page, making it easier to access your activity, insights and settings. The Build Audience menu at the top of the Page offers direct access to your Ads Manager account.

Pages to Watch
As we roll out the new design of Pages, we’re also opening up our new Pages to Watch feature in the Page Insights tool to all admins. Pages to Watch allows admins to create a list of Pages similar to their own and compare the performance of their Page with that of the businesses they care about.
On the “Overview” tab of Page Insights admins will see some key stats about the Pages they are watching. The “Posts” tab of Page Insights includes a feature to view the past week’s most engaging posts from the Pages you’re watching.

Since announcing the updates to Pages, we’ve received lots of questions from people wondering how these changes — like the updated timeline design, easier access to admin tools and the introduction of Pages to Watch — will impact them. Here are answers to the questions we heard most frequently.
1. What information will appear in the left-side column of my Page?
It will vary from business to business. If you’re a business with a brick-and-mortar location, the left-side column will show a map, phone number, hours of business, likes and visits, information about your business, apps (if relevant), photos, videos, reviews, posts to your Page and the Pages your Page likes.
For businesses that operate primarily online, the left-side column will show: likes, information about your business, apps (if relevant), photos, videos, posts to Page and the Pages your Page likes.
Admins will also soon be able to rearrange the order in which these sections appear in the left-side column.
2. Where will my apps appear?
Apps can appear in two locations: in the left-side column, or in the top navigation menu. Similar to the sections listed above, admins will soon have the ability to rearrange the order in which apps appear.

3. Where can I view messages?
Pages that have activated messages can view them in two locations: the Activity tab at the top of the Page, above the cover photo; or in the This Week box that runs along the right side of the Page.

4. Will other Pages know I’ve added them to my Pages to Watch list?
Admins receive a notification whenever their Page is added to another Page’s watch list. The notification indicates that their Page has been added to a list, but does not disclose the name of the Page that added them.
5. When will I have access to the updated design for Pages?
So far, the updated Pages design has rolled out to a small number of Pages. We’ll continue the rollout over the next several weeks.

Previously, commenting was only available on closed questions. As questions no longer close, you can now comment on any answer at any time. So you can thank users for particularly helpful answers, or challenge answers that you disagree with.

To comment on an answer, simply click on the comment icon, enter your comment and hit “submit”.

With this change, we have removed the Best Answer comment box, which we know some users have been experiencing problems with recently.

Askers can now choose a Best Answer as normal, but without needing to enter a comment. Askers can still comment on their chosen Best Answer in the regular comment box, where Answerers can reply.

Don’t forget to thumb up helpful answers! You can thumb up any answer you find helpful, even your own, if navel-gazing’s your thing. When you thumb up an answer the thumb icon will turn green. Update: (3/12/2014) all photos have been transferred for all classic/old accounts. We transferred all photos that were available. If you do not see any photos, our Unable to Retrieve Content guide should shine some light on what might be occurring.

Update: (2/24/2014) Photos are being processed. Once your photos are available, the photos will be available under your mixes, https://myspace.com/library/mixes.

We are working on making all photos that were available on classic/old Myspace available on new. Because of this large transfer for all users, this is going to take some time. If you visit https://myspace.com/settings/classicImport you should notice a blue button that states 'Your Photos are transferring'. This means your photos are in queue to be transferred as part of the big transfer we are doing.

Once we are finished with the updates we need to do for images, we will update this post. You can subscribe to this post by selecting article options. When your photos are finally available, your albums will live under mixes. The direct link to your mixes is https://myspace.com/library/mixes.

We hope to have this resolved in a couple of weeks. We understand this is a long wait, but nothing can be done to speed the process at this time. Please understand that there are millions of users queued with thousands of pictures to transfer over. Should any updates become available, you will be notified via this post.

What Does it Go By ?

it Goes By Minutes and Than the Seconds

For Example

If i Wanted to Start at 2 Minutes and 30 Seconds I Would Type it As

No it Does Not i Think the Video Has to Be a Certain Amount of Time In Order For That To Show

Would Not Surprise Me If They Did That Tho Since They are Taking Out the Option To Put Questions Into Voting

All Questions Now Will Stay Open Until the Asker Picks a Best Answer
