Yahoo Answers Enhancements To Commenting and Rating
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve launched enhancements to commenting and rating.
Previously, commenting was only available on closed questions. As questions no longer close, you can now comment on any answer at any time. So you can thank users for particularly helpful answers, or challenge answers that you disagree with.
To comment on an answer, simply click on the comment icon, enter your comment and hit “submit”.
With this change, we have removed the Best Answer comment box, which we know some users have been experiencing problems with recently.
Askers can now choose a Best Answer as normal, but without needing to enter a comment. Askers can still comment on their chosen Best Answer in the regular comment box, where Answerers can reply.
Don’t forget to thumb up helpful answers! You can thumb up any answer you find helpful, even your own, if navel-gazing’s your thing. When you thumb up an answer the thumb icon will turn green. When you thumb down an answer, the icon turns red. If you change your mind about a rating, simply click on the icon you chose to remove the rating.
