its Something New That Facebook is Doing With the Groups You Can Turn it off tho

Click edit settings at top of page when on group page and then where it says notify me when choose only posts im subscribed to. Unclick the boxes where it says send send email and group chat messages. Then you will get nothing. I did this with all my groups. You can edit the settings like this for every group you have but you have to do it individually with each one
