Making a Photo a Default Picture

Next to each of your photos is a "Make Default" link. Click the "Make Default" link next to the photo you want to use as your primary photo on MeetMe.

Remove a Photo

To delete a photo, click on the arrow to the right of the "Profile" link at the top of any page. From there, click on the "My Photos" link (or go to your own profile and click your default photo).

Next to each of your photos is a "Delete Photo" link. Click the "Delete Photo" link next to the photo you want to remove from MeetMe.

Can i Control Who Views Photos From my Profile

The privacy settings for your photos are the same as the privacy settings for your profile, which you can adjust on the Settings page. Use the "Who can view my profile?" drop-down menu to determine who can view your profile and your photos. Please remember to click "Save" to confirm your selection.

How Does the Lunch Money get Distributed After the Photo is Bought


When a photo sells in Owned!, the Lunch Money gets split between the previous owner of the photo and the person who uploaded the photo.

The previous owner of the photo receives a bulk of the Lunch Money -- everything they paid for the photo, plus half the profit (which is the difference between what they paid and what the new owner paid). The remaining half of the profit goes to the user who uploaded the photo.

Example:

Alice pays L$5,000 for a photo of Bob.
Charlie then comes around and pays L$8,000 for that photo.
Alice gets her L$5,000 back plus half of L$3,000 (L$8,000 - L$5,000), amounting to L$6,500 total.
Bob gets $1,500.

How to Get More Buy Photos Slots

You can add up to 10 photos to Owned, after purchasing additional photo slots with Lunch Money. To start adding photos, just click the Add More Photos Tab

Rankings Calculated How Are They Done

The rankings on the My Rank tab are calculated in the following ways:

The "Top People" ranking is measured by the sum of the purchase prices of all photos of each user.

The "Total Worth" ranking is based on the total sum of all photos owned by that user.

How Often Are Rankings Updated

The rankings update with new information about every 15 minutes.

Using Owned To Make Lunch Money


More Lunch Money in 3 Steps...

A good way to make more Lunch Money is to buy photos in Owned! of people you might like to connect with or of people you think will sell.

If they don't sell after two days, use Cash Out to get back some of the Lunch Money you spent.

Then, with that Lunch Money you just cashed out, buy more photos of people you might like or that you think will sell.

If they do sell, you make the profit and get more Lunch Money. If they don't sell, you can just Cash Out and make Lunch Money to buy pictures that will sell.

Opt Out From Owned


On the Settings page, there is a setting for "Who can Own me?" If you don't want to be included in the Owned! application, just check the "Don't include me in Owned!" box. Make sure to click "Save" to confirm your selection.

Note: If one or more of your pictures have already been purchased, it will be necessary to remove them from your profile pictures. After opting out of Owned, you can post the picture(s) again.

Preventing Someone from Owning me


Block them, and they will no longer be able to view your profile, send you private messages, comment on your battles, send you gifts, admire you, or own your images.

To block someone, go to his or her profile and click the "Block" link, which is located in the "Break It Off" box in the left-side column.

Why Am i No Longer Getting Lunch Money For Viewing Photos

There's a daily limit for obtaining Lunch Money in this way. You can still earn Lunch Money by buying and selling photos, or by using other MeetMe applications -- and come back tomorrow for more photo-viewing Lunch Money!

Cash Out


With the Cash Out feature, you can sell photos that aren't selling back to the house and get back a portion of the Lunch Money you spent. There are a few simple rules for Cash Out:

Can only cash out a photo if it hasn't sold in 48 hours.
Must have a Lunch Money balance less than L$1,500,000 to use Cash Out.
You can only cash out L$250,000 per day.
You can't cash out photos of yourself.

The amount you can Cash Out is based on the price of the photo:

L$1-5,000: Get 90% Back
L$5,001-10,000: Get 80% Back
L$10,001-50,000: Get 70% back
L$50,001-100,000: Get 60% Back

Why Are Photos Sometimes Reset to Lunch Money L$1

When a photo is suddenly reset to L$1, it means that it hasn't sold in 48 hours and the previous owner has chosen to Cash Out. When this occurs, the price of the picture is reset to L$1 -- which means you can earn more Lunch Money as the price rises again!

What Happens If the Photo Gets Disowned

When a photo gets disowned in Owned, neither the purchasing user nor the owner of the photo is reimbursed.

If you are unable to Cash Out a picture that you own, it is because one or more of the requirements have not been met:

You can only bid back and forth between two accounts on the same computer ten times.

What is a Battle ? 

A battle is a competition between two pictures or videos: one that you upload and one that your rival uploads. Other users who visit Battles will vote for which one they like best, and the battler with the most votes at the end wins!

How Do i Start a Battle

The easiest way to start a battle is to click "Begin a Battle" at the top of any page in the Battles area of MeetMe. Then, follow these steps:

Select your opponent.

Decide if you want to challenge a friend, a top battler, or leave it to chance and have us randomly pair you with another battler. Next, choose your battle image/video from one of your profile pics/videos or upload an entirely new image/video that you think will be a winner.

Pick a category.

Choose a category for the battle from the drop down menu or create one of your own.

Write a message.

Include a note to your rival if you would like. This will arrive as part of the message when they receive your challenge.

Spread the word.

Let people know about your battle. Tell all your friends to vote for you by submitting bulletins with just one click on MeetMe and MySpace.

Submit your Challenge!

Note: you can also challenge someone to battle simply by visiting his or her profile and clicking the "Battle" link under the photo.

Finding Someone to Battle With 

Opponents can be found everywhere on MeetMe. Every time you visit another member's profile, you can simply click the "Battle" link to challenge that person to a battle. 

OR

When in Battles, select the "Begin A Battle" tab. On this page, you have the option to 

Engage in a random battle -- this means you do not choose your rival, because we'll choose one for you. We match you up randomly with another battler waiting to be challenged in your chosen category. This is the quickest way to get a battle started.

Select a friend to battle -- choose any of your friends to challenge!

Take on a Top Battler -- the Top Battlers have the best records of this month, so if you're feeling brave, challenge one and try to take 'em down.

Accepting or Not Approving Battles

When someone challenges you to a battle, you'll have an Action Item on your homepage alerting you. Click that link to go to the Pending Battles page (you can also get here by going to My Battles and then clicking the "Pending" tab).

On this page you will see all your battle challenges and battles awaiting approval.

Click the "Accept Challenge" button on the right if you wish to accept the battle. You'll then choose the photo or video you want to use for the battle, and the battle will be sent for review by MeetMe Member Services before it begins.

If you want to decline a battle challenge, click the "Chicken Out" button.

Choosing Who Can Battle With you

Go to Settings at the top right corner of the screen, and you'll see a setting called "Who can challenge me to a battle?" Select your desired level of privacy for battle challenges and make sure to click "Save."

How Are Top Battlers Ranked

Top Battlers are ranked on number of wins minus number of losses. You can see Top Battlers across the whole site as well as in your state or any of your yearbooks, or just among your friends. You can also view Top Battlers within a specific category.

To view Top Battlers, click the "Top Battlers" tab within the Battles section.

What Do The Titles Signify 

Titles are a measure of how many battles you have won. Everyone starts out as a Featherweight and as you engage in more and more battles and collect more wins, you earn a better title -- so keep battling!

How Do i See my Battles 

In Battles, go to the "My Battles" tab.

The My Battles page has five tabs: Current, Pending, Past, Friends, and Watched.

"Current" contains all your battles that are currently underway and ready to be voted on. For each one, you can check how you're doing and see who voted for you (so you can return the favor!) on each of your battles. You can also get code to put the battle on your profile or your Myspace, so you can get more votes.

"Pending" contains challenges you've received from others members, challenges you've sent to other members, battles that are awaiting approval by MeetMe Member Services, and random battles that have not yet been paired up. This is where you'll accept or decline battle challenges, cancel challenges you've sent, or send reminders to your opponent.

"Past" contains all your ended battles. Here you can check whether you won that last battle and, for a limited time after the battle ends, see a list of who voted for you so you can thank them or return the favor.

"Friends" contains all your friends' battles, so you can quickly help them out with your votes.

"Watched" contains the battles you've chosen to keep an eye on, either your own or someone else's.

Watching a Battle

Watching a Battle makes it easier to find and keep track of because it is added to the "Watched" tab of your My Battles page. Essentially it's a quick way to bookmark a battle so that you can go back to it later.

To watch a battle, click the "Watch" link underneath the photos/videos on that battle's page.

How Do i See my Friends Battles 

To see a friend's battles, go to My Battles and click the "Friends" tab. You'll see a list of all your friends with current battles -- just click any friend to see his or her battles.

You can also filter the Battles voting page to see only friends' battles there. To do so, click the "are on MeetMe" drop-down menu within the "Which Battles do you want to see?" section and choose the "are my friends" option.

What is Super Vote and How Do i Use it 

A SuperVote is a special item you can purchase with Lunch Money that makes your vote on a particular battle more powerful than a normal vote. You get 10 SuperVotes per day and purchase a +5 or a +10 SuperVote.

To use a SuperVote on a battle, click the SuperVote button under the photo or video you want to SuperVote for.

Why Does My Battle Not Show Up Right away 

Battles must go through an approval process before it can begin. Please allow a few hours for approval. As soon as your battle has gone live, you will be notified.

Any member who uploads nudity or offensive images will have their profile deleted without notification.

A Current Battle Had Disappeared What happen ? 

It's possible your opponent's profile had to be removed from the MeetMe site. Their removal will not have any effect on your Battle Rank or Record for any past battles.

Your Live Chat Link allows you to invite a specific friend to chat and play games in Live, or for your friend to invite you!

To use your Live Chat Link, just copy it and share it with your friend. Your Live Chat Link can be found above your video when you first come to Live, or right under your video if you've already started playing Live.

When someone goes to your Live Chat Link while you're online, you'll receive a notification at the top-right corner of the screen. Just click the link in that notification to join your friend in Live. You can also go to your Live Chat Link yourself to be joined with your friend.

I Cant Get My Webcam to Work


There are a number of different reasons why you might be having difficulty using your webcam in Live. We've listed some of the most common below, along with possible solutions.

If you are currently using your camera somewhere else (Skype, Yahoo Messenger, etc.), it will not be accessible in Live. Always ensure that your camera is not active elsewhere before attempting to play Live.

Do you have the latest version of Flash? Check your current version at Adobe's website. If you find that it is outdated, you can get the latest Flash Player at the Flash Player download page.

The drivers for your webcam may be out of date. Try checking the manufacturer's website for the latest drivers.

Have you installed Google's plugin for voice and video chat, for use in Gmail or other Google products? Are you using a Mac?

Unfortunately, there is a known conflict between that Mac plugin and the most recent versions of Flash Player that can cause other programs, like Live, to be unable to access your camera, even when they should be able to.

The easiest way to resolve this problem is to uninstall the Google plugin.

Why Do I Have to Allow Webcam Everytime i Come On Live

It's easy to eliminate this annoyance! When you select "Allow" to enable your webcam, click the "Remember" checkbox. From now on, your webcam will be enabled automatically when you come to Live.

To invite a friend to chat and play games with you in Live -- even a friend who's not on MeetMe yet -- copy your Live Chat Link and share it. Your Live Chat Link can be found above your video when you first come to Live, or right under your video if you've already started playing Live.

When someone goes to your Live Chat Link while you're online, you'll receive a notification at the top-right corner of the screen. Just click the link in that notification to join your friend in Live. You can also go to your Live Chat Link yourself to be joined with your friend.

There are also indicators around the site that will let you know if someone is online, such as the Play With Friends! module that can be found when logged in on the MeetMe home page and the green Play Now! links that can be found within Live Feed, a user's action items, Match, and Messages. Click these links and you will automatically send them a MeetMe Live invitation!

With improved reporting tools, users can now flag both photos and comments for review with ease. We’re very excited by how much has gone into this release

Photo Maps a new way to browse photos on Instagram. Your Photo Map appears on your profile and lets you showcase your photos on a map. Also, you’ll be able to see other users’ maps from their profiles as well.

Important: Before your map is visible to the public, you’ll be prompted to review any photos you previously geotagged. Additionally, we’ve made it easy to remove photos from your map at any time, which will remove any associated geo-data but leave the photos intact on your profile.


Review your Photo Map

When you navigate to your Photo Map for the first time, you’ll be prompted to review photos you have previously uploaded with geolocation turned on. If you've never added geolocation to a photo, your Photo Map will appear light gray and you will not be able to navigate through to the map.

During the review process you’ll see photos you’ve geotagged in the past grouped together by location. From here you can deselect photos that you may not want appearing on your Photo Map, or you can deselect all images in a location group. Once you’ve chosen which images you want to add to your Photo Map, simply tap Done to create your map!

It is important to note that when you deselect a photo during this review process the photo’s location data will be removed from Instagram permanently. The only way to get this data back if you have accidentally removed geolocation from a photo is to re-upload the image.


Add to your Photo Map

Go through the photo sharing process until you reach the final screen, just before you upload your photo.
To add the photo to your map, simply make sure “Add to your Photo Map” is turned on.

New look for user profiles, the Explore tab, hashtag & location pages


General location sharing

If the "Add to Photo Map" switch has been turned on, it will attach an approximate latitude and longitude with your photo.


Specific location sharing

If you'd like to tie your photo to an even more specific place (a landmark, cafe, store, park, etc.), tap the phrase "Name this location" that now appears below the "Add to Photo Map" option. You'll be taken to a new page listing all of the nearby spaces in our system. Find the one that suits you and tap to select it.

Once you make a selection from the “Nearby” list, you will return to the final posting screen, and the location you selected will replace the “Name this location” text. When you tag your photo with a specific location, people viewing your photo will be able to see exactly where you took it.


Custom location sharing

Don't see your specific location listed? You can create a custom name for the location and tie it to the general latitude and longitude associated with your photo. On the “Nearby” page, type the desired name into the bar that says “Search or add a location.” You will then be able to assign a custom name for that location.

Note: Adding a custom location does not mean you are adding it to the list of specific, public locations available for other users to check in at. Custom locations are not available for other users to use, they are your own. If you would like to make a new location tag available to the public,


Location on the web

For photos viewed from a computer that have been added to your Photo Map, your selected location will appear alongside your photo. If you do not want to include this map, do not utilize "Name this location" when you upload a photo.



View Photo Maps

With Photo Map, you can showcase your geotagged photos, or explore geotagged photos of any other user on a Map - it’s a beautiful new way for you to view your Instagram photos!

View your Photo Map

To view your own Photo Map, just navigate to your profile, then tap Photo Map. From there you will be able to explore your location-tagged photos. You can zoom in and out on your map, view your photos in a grid, or view stacks of photos taken at the same location. You can also double tap a stack of photos that appear near each other to view the photographs in a grid.


View another user's Photo Map

If a public user or a private user you follow has approved photos to appear on their map, you can explore their Photo Map on Instagram! Just navigate to a user’s profile, tap Photo Map (an inactive Photo Map will appear light gray) and embark on a journey to all of the places they’ve ever been.

Edit your Photo Map
You can remove photos from your map by tapping the edit button in the upper right hand corner of your Photo Map. From there you can deselect images to permanently remove their location. The photo will not be deleted from your Instagram profile, but the photo’s location data will be removed from Instagram permanently.

The only way to get this data back if you have accidentally removed geolocation from a photo is to re-upload the image.

Activity

Go to your Discover tab. The second item in the top left box is your Activity timeline, showing actions being taken by those you follow.

Conversations

To see the conversation around any Tweet in your timeline, click the Open button on the top left of the Tweet. The Tweet wil expand to show replies and threaded conversation.

Direct Messages

Click the profile icon on the top right of your page. On the dropdown menu, click Direct messages to see your message history and to compose a new message.

Favorites

Navigate to your profile page via the link on your Home tab, or by clicking the profile icon in your top navigation bar. Then click Favorites from the left side of your profile page.

Find friends

Go to your Discover tab, then click Find friends to locate them using your email address book. Use the search box in the navigation bar to search for Twitter accounts by keyword.

Followers/Following

Go to your profile page. Your following and follower lists appear on the left. Unfollow users from this page, or by going to their own profile on Twitter.

Follower Requests

Private account holders will see a box on the left side of their homepage listing the number of unapproved follower requests when new ones come in. Click the box to respond. They are also listed in your profile dropdown from the top navigation bar.

Help

Click the profile dropdown menu in the top navigation bar for a Help link to our Help Center.

Lists

Click the profile dropdown menu in the top navigation bar. Click Lists from that menu. Or, go to your Profile page and click on Lists from the menu there.

Logging out of your account

To log out of your account, click the profile dropdown in the top right corner of your page. The last item in the dropdown menu says Sign out.

Media

To access any media (photos, videos, songs) in Tweets, hover over the Tweet and click Open in the top right. Photos and videos display in line.

Mentions

Go to your Connect tab and click the Mentions option on the menu in the top left.

Click your profile picture on your Home tab. Or, open the profile icon dropdown menu from the top navigation bar and click on View my profile page.

Go to your Connect tab and visit the Interactions timeline to see who retweeted your Tweets.

Search
