Product Cleaning Hand Bags

You Got a Hand Bag Recently and It Got Stains Or Scuff Marks On it O No its A Mess

im Going to Try and Help you With a Tutorial On How you Can Possibly Clean That up

The leathers used in most Dooney & Bourke merchandise are both water repellent and generally scratch resistant. However, some leathers may become discolored when wet, returning to their original colors once completely dry.

Soiled leather can usually be cleaned with the use of a soft cotton cloth slightly dampened with distilled water (sodium-free seltzer water may be substituted) and a mild bar soap, applied in a circular motion. Repeat with distilled water only to ensure no residual soap remains. The leather should then be allowed to dry completely.

Anything containing dyes (ball point pens, lipsticks, etc.) cannot be removed as they will re-dye the surface.

Vacchetta Leather
The pale tan Vacchetta Leather used in Dooney & Bourke merchandise is untreated. This "naked" leather will naturally darken over time with use and exposure to light. Vacchetta Leather requires no creams, polishes or cleansers to maintain its beauty.

The Suede and Nubuk used in most Dooney & Bourke merchandise has been treated for general water repellency, but may absorb water under certain circumstances. If this happens, a dry cloth should be used to blot the excess liquid and the material should be allowed to dry thoroughly. Once dry, a suede brush should be used to gently lift the nap.

Due to the unique texture or nap (raised fibers; longer and fuzzier on suede bags), some consideration should be given when using during inclement weather. In addition, care should also be taken as to where these particular handbags are stored when not in use. This consideration will keep the soil on the bottom to a minimum and maintain the optimal beauty of the handbag.

The fabrics used in most Dooney & Bourke merchandise have been treated for water repellency. However, if the fabric becomes wet, blot with a dry white or light colored cloth and allow to dry completely.

For simple spot cleaning, use a soft cotton cloth slightly dampened with distilled water (sodium-free seltzer water may be substituted) and a mild bar soap, applied in a circular motion. Repeat with distilled water only to ensure no residual soap remains. The fabric should then be allowed to dry completely.

Oily spots should first be wiped free of excess liquid. Talcum powder should then be sprinkled on the area and allowed to sit briefly. With a dry toothbrush, gently brush away powder to alleviate the soil.

The Grafica (polyvinyl-coated) fabric used in Dooney & Bourke merchandise is generally water repellent and may repel most soil.

Should the fabric become soiled, cleaning should be done with a soft cotton cloth or soft toothbrush slightly dampened with distilled water (sodium-free seltzer water may be substituted) and a mild bar soap, applied in a circular motion. Repeat with distilled water only to ensure no residual soap remains. The material should then be allowed to dry completely.

Dooney & Bourke has produced several totes, carry-alls, travel pieces and other accessories in clear plastic. All are water repellent, resistant to most scratches and may repel surface dirt.

If any clear plastic merchandise gets something sticky or greasy on it, cleaning should be done with a soft cotton cloth slightly dampened with distilled water (sodium-free seltzer water may be substituted) and a mild bar soap, applied in a circular motion. Repeat with distilled water only to ensure no residual soap remains. Some scuffmarks may be removed with the use of a soft white eraser used in a gentle circular motion, with only the slightest amount of pressure, so as not to dull the clear finish.

No creams, polishes or leather conditioning products should be used on the Vacchetta Leather trim and handles. Please note that it is a natural characteristic of Vacchetta Leather to darken over time with use and exposure to light.

Even Tho This is For Dooney And Bourke im Sure This Could Also Work With Other Hand Bags As Well
