Use your camera to add friends! Snap to Add a friend by placing your Snapchat camera over the ghost on their Profile screen.
Tap their ghost on your screen to add them as a friend!

Adding Friends Who Have Added You
When a friend adds you, the ghost icon at the top of your Camera screen will turn yellow. Tap the ghost to go to your Profile screen.
Here you can add a friend that added you by tapping on the "+" icon next to their name. It will turn into a checkmark.
Adding Friends From My Contacts
To find and add friends from your device's contact list, tap "My Contacts" in your Profile screen.
All of your phone contacts with Snapchat accounts will be displayed, along with friends who don't have Snapchat, who you can invite via SMS :)
Searching for Friends
To find and add friends who aren’t in your list of contacts, tap "Add Friends" in your Profile screen.
Here you can search for your friend by username or from your address book.
Best Friends
Best Friends
Best Friends are updated regularly and represent the friends you Snap with most frequently. They are selected automatically by a magical Snapchat friendship algorithm.
You can see who your Best Friends are when you send a Snap. Nobody else can see your list of Best Friends.
Whats My Score
What's My "Score"?
Your "Score" is the sum of the number of Snaps you have sent and received. Your score is displayed on the Profile screen next to your username.
